Smokefree Oregon was created by the Oregon Tobacco Prevention and Education Program and the American Lung Association in Oregon.

We work in communities and with organizations across the state to create a healthy, smokefree environment for everyone. We’re working on behalf of the 83 percent of Oregonians who don’t smoke.[1] And we’re working on behalf of Oregonians who do smoke—and especially the two-thirds of those smokers who want to quit.

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) was created by the 2009 Oregon Legislature to bring most health-related programs in the state into a single agency to maximize its purchasing power. OHA will transform the health care system in Oregon by:

  • Improving the lifelong health of Oregonians
  • Increasing the quality, reliability, and availability of care for all Oregonians
  • Lowering or containing the cost of care so it’s affordable to everyone
