Smokefree events promote healthy communities by reducing secondhand smoke exposure and demonstrating to our youth that smoking isn’t the norm. Children exposed to secondhand smoke are more at risk for asthma attacks and more likely to develop other respiratory illnesses.

Parks, outdoor events, beaches and powwows across the state are going smokefree.

As more events and other outdoor places go smokefree, more smokers want to quit. For help quitting, call 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669).
